Open-source gaming
I just saw this article from last year published in the New York Times on the excitement brewing from "open source" gaming. The idea is that if the community gets involved early in the gaming development, everyone benefits because the game is built in the direction that makes the most sense to the people that play it. Makes sense to me as well!
At Text Flex much of our effort has been focused on making tXtFL to be the best football simulator available. While there are a number of other text-based football sims out there, many of them highly enjoyable to play (we assume), we're excited that tXtFL is open source and free for you to play anytime, without a dime.
